With less than half an hour left in 2010 Southern California Subbuteo Club members Dominic and Simon Hutchinson decided to become the last people to play Subbuteo in 2010 and the first to play in 2011.
Their Indoor Edition game kicked off shortly before 11:50 PM, on 31 December, 2010. The first and second quarters of the game were completed before midnight.
After a few moments to toast the New Year the game resumed, with the third and fourth quarters played on 1 January, 2011.
Dominic also becomes the first player to win in 2011, as he defeated his father 4-2.
